Migration
Migrate from chatgpt to copy-ai.
1 documentation-derived translation pattern — what carries over and what to watch for. Cited to the Feature Parity Map; the audit tells you whether the move is worth it.
Move Copy.ai Chat work into a ChatGPT Project. Recreate each Infobase entry (brand guidelines, value props, positioning, product specs) as files uploaded to the Project and/or as the Project's custom instructions, so ChatGPT has the same standing context Copy.ai pulled in via '#'. Move recurring GTM prompts from Copy.ai's pre-made library into the Project's instructions or saved prompts. Group related conversations inside the Project the way you grouped chat projects in Copy.ai.
Gotchas
- Warning: Copy.ai is model-agnostic and lets you switch between GPT and Claude models per chat; a ChatGPT Project only runs OpenAI models, so any Claude-specific outputs you relied on must be reproduced with GPT or moved to Claude instead.
- Warning: Copy.ai's '#' Infobase tags pull a specific tagged snippet on demand; a ChatGPT Project applies all uploaded files and instructions to every conversation rather than letting you cite one named snippet inline, so very large Infobases may need to be trimmed or split across Projects.
