Setup steps

Your fingerprint maps most cleanly to Google AI Pro ($19.99/mo), which is the rough equivalent of your current Claude Pro at $20 and includes 2 TB Drive plus higher Deep Research and Canvas quotas. If you run lots of daily research, AI Pro gives 20 Deep Research runs/day and unlimited Canvas slide-gen; the Free tier caps Deep Research at 5/month and Canvas slides at 20/day. Sign in at gemini.google.com with the Google account tied to your Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Drive). Skip AI Ultra unless you need Gemini Agent/Spark or Deep Think — those agentic features aren't part of your current Claude workflows.
Plans and pricingIn the Gemini app, open Settings > Connected Apps (Apps) and enable Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Calendar. These Workspace connectors reached GA in May 2025 and are login-only for an account already in your Workspace. This preserves your stated dependency on Docs, Gmail, and Drive. Note: Gemini's connector set is Google-owned and narrow — there is no third-party MCP marketplace as in Claude, so any non-Google SaaS connectors you relied on in Claude won't carry over. Keep Claude on the side for those, or replace them with Workspace exports.
A few things to confirm
We flag these up front so nothing surprises you — a short list to double-check in Gemini as you go.

Gem name: [Client/Topic name] Instructions: You are my dedicated assistant for [client/topic]. Always: - Be concise and write in a professional tone; lead with the answer, then brief supporting detail. - Treat the attached Knowledge files as the source of truth for this client; cite which file a fact came from when relevant. - Ask one clarifying question only if a request is genuinely ambiguous; otherwise proceed. - Keep deliverables ready to drop into Google Docs. Context about this client/topic: [paste the background/scope text from your Claude Project instructions here] Knowledge: upload the same reference files you had attached to the Claude Project (PDFs, docs, notes).
