Migrate from gamma to decktopus.
2 documentation-derived translation patterns — what carries over and what to watch for. Cited to the Feature Parity Map; the audit tells you whether the move is worth it.
Replace Decktopus's prompt-to-deck workflow with Gamma's 'Generate' mode: give Gamma the same topic prompt and it produces a structured, designed deck you can refine. For decks you already built in Decktopus, export them to PPTX first and bring them in through Gamma's 'Import' mode (which accepts PowerPoint, PDF, and Google Slides) so existing content is reformatted into Gamma cards rather than rebuilt from scratch. Set your brand colors, fonts, and logo once in Gamma's Theme Editor to reproduce Decktopus's auto-branding on every new deck.
- Warning: Credit math and pricing differ: a Decktopus AI deck costs 30 credits and AI generation is gated behind a paid plan, while Gamma charges 40 credits per generated gamma and allows AI creation on its Free tier (with a watermark) — estimate volume against the new credit allowance before migrating.
- Warning: Imported Decktopus PPTX is reflowed into Gamma's card-based layout, so slide-precise positioning, embedded forms, and recorded voice-over narration do not carry over and must be re-created or replaced with Gamma equivalents.
Both tools export to PowerPoint and PDF, so a deck's final-file workflow ports cleanly: keep producing PPTX/PDF deliverables from Gamma's Share > Export instead of Decktopus's Download control. To carry existing Decktopus decks over, export each as PPTX from Decktopus and import the file into Gamma, then re-export from Gamma once it has been reflowed into cards.
- Warning: Decktopus shares interactive decks via a public link with embedded forms and recorded voice-over; Gamma's equivalent is publishing to a gamma.site page, and the lead-capture forms and per-slide narration do not survive the export/import round-trip.
- Warning: Branding-removal gating differs: Gamma's 'Made with Gamma' watermark is removed on Plus/Pro, whereas Decktopus tied watermark-free and corporate-branded output to its own higher tiers — confirm the destination plan removes branding before relying on exports for client-facing work.
