Migration
Migrate from humata to claude.
1 documentation-derived translation pattern — what carries over and what to watch for. Cited to the Feature Parity Map; the audit tells you whether the move is worth it.
Move a Humata document corpus into a Claude Project: create a Project, upload the original source files (PDF, DOCX, etc.) into the Project's knowledge base, and add project instructions telling Claude to answer only from the attached documents and to quote the passage it relied on. Every conversation in the Project can then query the whole corpus, replicating Humata's ask-across-all-your-files Q&A. On Team/Enterprise, a shared Project gives teammates the same shared-knowledge-base experience Humata's team plans offer.
Gotchas
- Warning: Claude does not produce Humata-style citation links that deep-link into an exact source location; it reads the documents and can quote them when instructed, but verification is less automatic than Humata's per-answer source citations.
- Warning: Humata bills by document pages, whereas a Claude Project's knowledge base has its own capacity limits, so a very large Humata library may not fit a single Project and would need to be split or trimmed (paid plans expand project knowledge capacity via retrieval).
