Re-express each Manus prompt as a goal in ChatGPT's composer with the Tools dropdown set to 'agent mode'. Tasks that ended in a Manus deliverable (deck, spreadsheet, doc) map well because ChatGPT Agent can edit spreadsheets, generate slide decks, and produce documents. Recurring Manus runs map onto ChatGPT's scheduled Tasks. Available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business/Team.
Gotchas
- Warning: ChatGPT Agent meters work as monthly agent-action quotas per plan, whereas Manus meters per-task credits — heavy or long-running Manus jobs do not translate one-to-one to a ChatGPT action budget, so plan sizing differs.
- Warning: Manus's cloud workspace keeps running after you close your machine and notifies you when done; ChatGPT Agent sessions are interactive and built around a watchable, take-over-able browser, so unattended long-haul background runs behave differently.
- Warning: ChatGPT Agent asks for explicit confirmation before high-impact actions (purchases, sends); workflows that relied on Manus running fully unattended need a human present for those approval steps.
