Migrate from supernormal to otter.
1 documentation-derived translation pattern — what carries over and what to watch for. Cited to the Feature Parity Map; the audit tells you whether the move is worth it.
Supernormal's post-meeting notes, summary, and action items map to Otter's automated summaries and action items. To consolidate Supernormal into Otter: connect Otter to the same calendar so its meeting agent auto-joins Zoom/Meet/Teams calls, then rely on Otter's per-meeting summary and assignable action items instead of Supernormal's capture. Export any historical Supernormal notes (to Google Drive or as documents) and store them as reference; re-running past meetings is not possible in either tool. For occasional Otter -> Supernormal moves, paste or upload a transcript and ask Supernormal's agent to draft the summary and follow-ups.
- Warning: Supernormal captures audio bot-free from the desktop app (no extra participant on the call); Otter joins meetings as a visible AI agent. Anyone relying on the no-bot experience will see Otter behave differently.
- Warning: Otter generates summaries and emails them to participants automatically; Supernormal centralizes action items and can additionally generate emails, decks, and other deliverables from the same meeting via its agent — that downstream generation does not carry over to Otter.
- Warning: Supernormal meters generation with monthly credits (15/mo on Free); Otter meters usage by transcription minutes. The two free tiers cap usage along different axes, so heavy users hit limits for different reasons.
- Warning: Custom summary templates are a Business/Enterprise feature in Otter; in Supernormal, output shaping is done by prompting the agent rather than selecting a fixed template.
