Migrate from fireflies to avoma.
1 documentation-derived translation pattern — what carries over and what to watch for. Cited to the Feature Parity Map; the audit tells you whether the move is worth it.
Avoma's template-driven AI notes, smart chapters, and follow-up emails map closely to Fireflies' AI summaries (chapter-grouped time-stamped notes, action items, and 18+ summary templates). To consolidate onto Fireflies: recreate your Avoma note templates as Fireflies summary templates per meeting type, and rely on Fireflies' default keywords/overview/notes/action-items structure for the rest. Fireflies' Fred bot auto-joins from your calendar in place of Avoma's recorder. For any Avoma meetings whose notes must be retained, download the transcript (TXT) first, since notes themselves are not exported as a file from Avoma.
- Warning: Avoma's custom note templates are gated to the Organization plan and above; Fireflies offers 18+ pre-built summary templates on all plans but charges 1 AI credit per custom summary section per meeting and gates summary expansion to Pro+.
- Warning: Avoma auto-drafts follow-up recap emails as a built-in step; Fireflies centers on the in-app summary/action-items and does not market an equivalent always-on follow-up-email drafter, so that workflow may need a separate step.
- Warning: Fireflies meters AI credits (used by custom/added summary sections and other AI actions), pooled at the team level and not per seat. Each plan includes a one-time credit allotment on sign-up (Pro 20, Business 30; these plan credits do not expire), and any extra credits you buy do not carry over between billing cycles. Avoma markets unlimited AI notes, so heavy custom-summary use in Fireflies can draw down the shared credit pool in a way Avoma's notes do not.
- Warning: Avoma's note templates can feed CRM-field automation for MEDDIC/SPICED/NEAT; Fireflies summaries are not built around those sales-methodology field mappings, so methodology capture would shift to Fireflies' separate CRM sync rather than the note template itself.
