Migrate from midjourney to playground.
1 documentation-derived translation pattern — what carries over and what to watch for. Cited to the Feature Parity Map; the audit tells you whether the move is worth it.
Move the prompt-to-image workflow by recreating prompts in Midjourney's web app (midjourney.com) or the /imagine Discord command. Each Midjourney job returns four variants, so consolidate Playground's side-by-side model comparison into Midjourney's four-up grid plus its parameters (style, aspect ratio, --hd). For text-in-image work you did with GPT Image 2 on Playground, enclose the desired text in quotation marks in the Midjourney prompt and lean on the latest model version's improved text rendering. There is no design-file or template import, so rebuild finished assets from prompts.
- Warning: Midjourney has no permanent free tier and meters by GPU-minutes across subscription plans, whereas Playground offers a free tier and meters by per-3-hour image caps plus monthly model credits — the cost model is entirely different.
- Warning: Midjourney is a pure image generator with an inpaint/outpaint Editor; it does not provide Playground's graphic-design template library or design-category workflows (logos, t-shirts, social posts), so design-asset use cases lose their templated starting points.
- Warning: Midjourney runs its own diffusion models, not the GPT Image 2 / Nano Banana / Seedream line-up in Playground, so prompt phrasing and resulting style will need re-tuning.
